Frenched skirts are finished and other kustom goodies!
This blog is long overdue, but both sets of Lee's skirts are finished for his '51 Merc kustom project and other great kustom things are going on at King Kustoms. I've made some small progress on my '50 Ford by installing a new trunk latch and making the trunklid fit the body with about a million and one slices...I hope to have all of the metalwork and bodywork finished on my Ford within a month or so and focus on getting her back on the road as a daily driver. I also got the front bumper chromed by Buena Park Plating who did an exceptional job- pics soon!
Up next is more metalwork on Lee's Merc, including new inner/outer rockers, floors, fitting the doors, lower cowl and front fender rust repair, and hopefully a good start into the chop by the time school starts up again...it's going to be a great summer :)
Stay tuned!
take care,
Rob

The latest...it's been a while...but the skirts are being frenched :)
I haven't chimed in on here for a while now, but work on Lee's '51 Merc has been steady...and that's pretty much the latest. Quarter panels are done and the '49/'50 flush-mount skirt set is finished, and I'll be doing the '51 set next...stay tuned!
